I am total beginner grow-wise so I chose this strain based on other reviews and comparison to other strains. I was learning as growing progressed but didn't really expect my first plants to be successful. How wrong I was! I planted the seed around the end of May this year (2019). So it is now October 20th and I have just finished harvesting my buds- they are just starting the drying phase before I cure them. I transplanted it into a large pot when it reached about 30cm tall and used a mixture of sifted garden soil (I am in the UK and the soil where I am is very fertile and lush) and organic compost with a layer of sand at the bottom. I also sprinkled diatomaceous earth on top of the soil around the base of the plant (diatom earth is very soft, fine powder which is safe enough to eat and also repels unwanted insects without the need for pesticide- it basically cuts or suffocates pests and we use it for our chickens to prevent lice etc). I grew it indoors and used only natural sunlight until the flowering stage, then I used artificial light, fans and used a space blanket for reflecting light and to wrap around the pot. The aroma was pretty much instant when flowering began and it was a gorgeous earthy citrusy uplifting smell. I watched the colour of the hairs until about 60% had changed to a coppery tone, plus kept a close eye on the trichomes using a magnifier to determine when to harvest, though it was fairly obvious from the size and number of frosty bunches of sugar leaves surrounding the buds. I watered the plant every 2-3 days except in the last 2 weeks when I was feeding water every day to flush it. I fed it an organic liquid feed twice a week after transplanting to the larger pot. I will post an update once I get to test the fruits of my labour, but I'm so happy to have managed to harvest my very first crop of home grown weed- and even after wet trimming and drying I know I have a really decent amount of stuff to keep me going for a few months at least. I plan on attempting to make hash from the cut sugar leaves, and possibly some sort of skin balm from the fan leaves. Any newbie readers out there, I highly recommend this strain for a beginner grower- you will be so happy with the result and it's so worth the wait! My top tip as a total beginner is: simply keep a close eye on your plant, don't over water it, and make good use of sites such as this because everything you need to know is here thanks to a really decent and knowledgeable online community.
