Indoor Info

Growing on & off for 25 years … seriously for the past 8 years under Michigan medical & recreational allowances. Started “back-in-the-day” when everything was stealth … using 400w HPS in a vented closet. I upgraded to 1000w HPS lights when my setup allows & now I’m 100% LED. I root cuttings under a basic LED shop light - nothing too bright. I then use a Spider Farmer SF2000 for veg before moving into the flower chamber under a Volt Grow FL1 720w LED … covering a 5’x5’ chamber with Mylar walls. I’m new to the LED tek, so working & learning as I go. I use a mix of HP & coco in 5 & 15 gallon pots - some plastic & some fabric. Have been feeding GO nutes but experimenting with just about everything. Recently changed to the DynaGrow & Bloom line but still adding GO supplements. I also feed Blackstrap Molasses to support the mycorrhiza & soil … especially during late flower. I tend to grow hybrids … and am a hobbyist breeder. I try to keep a mix of cultivars in rotation - diesel, skunk, kush & berry crosses tend to be my favorites.

Outdoor Info

I dabble outdoors, but mainly focus on indoor. Being in Michigan, we have dry summers & cold, damp fall weather that can lead to mold/mildew. So, I keep just a few outside in composted manure, in a garden close to the house so they can be easily cared for. Dr. Zymes has been a big help & if I could expand, I would love to have a greenhouse with more control of the elements & the power of the sun. My largest plants average 6-8 feet & harvest is usually very potent, colorful bud. However - the whole drying, curing, etc can be a challenge in this climate - so I’m always looking for a better way to increase taste/smell of outdoor bud.
