I did one run of Gold Bar Kush in deep water culture under cheap Chinese LEDs and I'm quite impressed with the results. In summary it's a variety with a great flavour and effect, but there are better commercial varieties in terms of flowering time and yield.

The seeds take forever to germinate, mine took 12 days. After that it grew fast in a classic indica fashion: short, stocky plant with big broad leaves. I topped her once half way through a one month veg period and it basically turned into a scrog without a screen. Flowers start off small and spindly after 2.5-3 weeks of 12/12 and really take their time to fill out. What really stood out about how it grows is how even the internode spacing is and the smell/taste. I managed to get a decent yield but didn't have any giant colas. The orange bud genetics are really prominent through its strong orange/citrus smell and flavour, the standard kush taste is most clear as an aftertaste. The high is energetic, smooth and not as debilitating as I'm used to from other kush strains. Overall very nice flavour and effect, definitely worth the 9-10 weeks of flowering this strain needs. This kush hybrid takes some training to really get the most in terms of production. What is produced is 10/10 cup winning flavours. This is a lanky plant that is more for head stash and some of the best weed you will ever grow. The smells are kushy citrus and the high is heart beating cerebral high. (12.05.2017 um 18:38 Uhr)

We grew the Gold bar kush with another strain but the Gold bar was the better one. Nice vigorous growth in the veg period under a 600watt MH for about 8 weeks, all the way through she is a dark green colour leaves, fed a medium strength fertilizer. She was a little slow to start flowing after the switch of the lights to 600watt sodium, but once she started she quickly developed nice decent size buds, then the trichomes come thick and fast. She got that classic kush smell going. We are quite impressed with how they turned out. The smoke is good and strong. We are going to run it again, we where that pleased. (17.02.2018 um 23:21 Uhr)

Honestly one of the best strain I have grown, its like a Agent orange but in more smooth ... it is very strong but in the mouth it is very round and soft. Orange diesel kush taste. Crazy strech and very good grow. It was a single seed that I have grown and I found a crazy beast. I have done clones of it for a year now and I keep making people crazy while lighting it op.

I have made rosin and DHO of it ... it is one of the best extract I have never tried.

Hello this is a report over the Gold Bar Kush from SpliffSeeds. I started with putting the seed in the soil and let mother nature do her thing. After a week they were all out and above the ground. The growth period went well and they grow very nice in to little ladies with a lot of side branches . after three week I topped the ladies for more head branches. They reacted well to the topping and got some nice branches. After four weeks I put them in de flowering stage. It toke a week before I saw the visible flowering. After that it went fast and they growth nice big buds with sticky thc hmm. After drying I had 45grams per plant with a total of 251grams from 5 ladies. The Gold Bar Kush can handle a lot of stress and will fight back. I used the Plagron nutrition’s line and I’m very happy with Plagron because it is easy to prep per and you got some good result. I also used Green sensation that is a four in one booster and is very handy for creating some big bud without an after taste. The last two weeks I started rinsing the ladies so it will rinse the nutrition’s out of the ladies. After harvesting the ladies I let them dry for two weeks in a room with a temperature of 18 degrees Celsius. And now I’m curing them by opening the jar every day for ten minutes this will increase the taste and the stoned effect. This is a very nice strain and I am glad with the results and the effects of this lady. Smoke on!
